New Windows throughout, with a bench seat above the window. To achieve the larger sized bedroom an opening was created in the existing wall to include an open plan wardrobe.
To achieve the light and bright kitchen, we needed to re-work the layout of the kitchen. Remove a structural wall and an existing powder room, which the clients felt was too close to the kitchen. The additional skylight was a huge impact in the end to the overall natural light.
We increased the width of the esiting bathroom to relocate a toilet within the foot print. A total re-fit was needed and included a new ceiling and skylight. The clients were after easy maintenance as this bathroom is mainly shared with their 2 sons.
We added a door into the ensuite from the master (as previously it came off the hallway). Then we added some much needed storage robe space. Then a dilemma, not enough shoe space we custom designed a corner bench seat that looks out to the beatiful views
We carried the Navy blue tones from the Master into the Ensuite. The entry door was between the bath and vanity, but we relocated it within access from the Master. We added a bath within the floor plan.
This project is still in the early stages of a new home build. The clients had an overall floor plan loosely decided on and we worked out Kitchen, Living, Dining spaces. As the clients couldn’t visualise the overall spaces & finishes.
The brief was to create a ‘non corporate looking office’, as they are based in Darlington & the hills area, it was all about highlighting their beautiful location.
The brief was to create consultation & Meeting rooms with furniture for various health professions from chiropractors, counsellors, wellness coaches that could individually lease out a room and share communal facilities.
