Palmyra Kitchen Renovation – Case Study (part2)
Funiture & Furnishings with 3D Renderings
In the previous post about the Palmyra Kitchen Renovation case study we discussed the orientation and building constraints. We came up with two concepts then honed in on a final layout. The next step is visually putting together furniture/ lighting and styling selections to create the 3D Renders. Most time’s clients find it difficult to understand how all the furniture, artwork, lighting will look together, as a designer this is my role, to find new ways to communicate what the space will look like in the end; basically, pull out whats in my mind and put onto paper or screen.

KITCHEN INTERIOR SELECTIONS
Once I get the concept of finishes/ colours and tone, I can start on the 3D renders for the Palmyra kitchen renovation. It usually takes a week; to finalise the renders. Sometimes completing the renders small things will change but usually it’s fairly similar to the 3d Model you saw in (part 1). The renders tend to have more warmth, depth and looks more realistic.

At this stage, I set up a client meeting and we discuss the overalls scheme, go through each piece of furniture and selection, sometimes this might involve them to go and see the pieces in the showroom or we may need to send over a piece of furniture. Then I take care of all the ordering, scheduling and double checking everything has been correctly ordered and delivery at the correct timeline of construction and being on site once installation day is booked.
